Most of the time I ask myself if the machine that I’m looking will pay for it self with in a year. If the answer is yes then I’m probably better off with it. Also sanding accounts for around 35 % of shop time. So good sanders are a must. Have a good one.

Museum glass while hella expensive is what your shadow boxes need to make them really pop even more. Also your prices are too low. At minimum they should be 25% higher, then add in the museum glass. Nice work.

Are you a night owl? Working into the dawn? I used to be like that when I worked for myself. Also are you watching a baby monitor as you drum sand? If so good for you. Thank you for the circular picture frame technique. A plywood template and a router would be another way to cut out the circular frame. Cut out the template, double sided tape, or CA glue it to your wood blank you made, then router around the template to get your circular shape, then make your rebate for the glass with another router pass. Also subbed.

Worlds smallest? My workshop is literally 3x2mt. Thats workbench/router lift, all tools in sustainers stored in 2x1 shelving, more tools/equip on walls, a 20L Air compressor with Vacuum function, materials and consumables stored under table and on shelving and plastic curtaining to cover everything when I convert it into a spray booth! Your shop is like an Amazon warehouse to me :D

Many people purchase a CNC machine and then fail to get enough added value from the machine to ever get a positive return on investment. Basically, if you do not have a product that needs to be mass produced or that requires repetitive intricate carving, then a CNC is a poor purchase.

I noticed you did not flash your window header but instead allow the first layer of wide boards to terminate directly above the window. Is it because the window is recessed and already flashed

What was the tool you used to screw in the threaded insert? I tried to use a flat head to screw it in and basically broke off the side of the insert. I see that you did something with some nuts and somehow screwed it in - just curious on what that was? Thanks for the video.

In my area it’s very dry and a lot of people say it’s a waste of time to wrap… but some people do it anyways.. even though it’s dry, I’ve experienced water damage due to roof leaks.., but I don’t know how much wrapping would have helped that problem

Great video and great work. At the end you said 'maybe even'. Do you mean that you may have broken even on all of this work? I hope not especially if you do this professionally haha. I think a net profit video would be extremely insightful to your audience if you're ever up for it. Would love to see a breakdown of gross revenue - overhead, labor cost, material, etc (hopefully you keep labor cost separate from profit).

Beautiful work Sam! I rarely use my scroll saw but after watching this I may need to give that a try. I don't do well with small stuff and mainly use my table saw and miter saw to build larger wood projects. Your shadow boxes are really wonderful...keep up the good work.

Awesome job - only thing is I wouldn't brand it as a cutting board (or at least on the side with the resin) as its not food safe and it will also be prone to show knife marks REALLY quickly. What some people do is they make that the bottom and the other side the 'cutting surface'.
